INTRODUCTION

The Master of Science (MSc) in Physics (BS 5th Semester) is an advanced academic program designed to deepen students' understanding of classical mechanics, electromagnetism, quantum physics, statistical mechanics, and modern experimental techniques. It emphasizes theoretical insight, mathematical rigor, and practical laboratory skills to develop critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. The program prepares students for professional roles in research institutions, academia, technology development, energy sectors, and scientific industries. Graduates may also pursue doctoral studies, specialized research opportunities in fields like Astrophysics, Nuclear Physics, or Materials Science, or qualify for competitive public and private sector roles.

MSc Physics (BS 5th Semester)

MSc Physics (BS 5th Semester) requires a minimum of 14 years of education in a relevant field such as BSc with Physics and Mathematics or BS (Physics), with at least 50% marks (or equivalent CGPA) from an HEC-recognized institution.

• All genders having domicile of Punjab are eligible to apply.
• Maximum age limit is 26 years for Morning Program and 28 years for Replica Program.
• Age relaxation of up to 3 years can be granted by the Competent Authority on recommendation of the Admission Committee and written request by the candidate.
• Equivalence Certificate is required for degrees obtained from foreign or non-standard institutions.
