INTRODUCTION

The Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biotechnology is a four-year academic program designed to provide a strong foundation in molecular biology, genetics, biochemistry, microbiology, and biotechnological techniques. It enhances analytical thinking, laboratory skills, and problem-solving abilities, preparing students for careers in biomedical research, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, agriculture, environmental science, and biotechnology industries. Graduates can pursue advanced studies in Biotechnology or related fields such as Genetic Engineering, Bioinformatics, or Molecular Medicine, obtain professional certifications, or qualify for competitive exams in both the public and private sectors.

BS Biotechnology

All genders having domicile of Punjab are eligible for admission to the BS Biotechnology program.
The maximum age limit for eligibility is 22 years for the Morning Program and 24 years for the Replica Program. However, a relaxation of up to 3 years may be granted by the Competent Authority upon the student's request, duly recommended by the Admission Committee.
Candidates who have secured at least 45% marks in FA/FSc (Pre-Medical)/ICS/A-Level or an equivalent qualification are eligible to apply for the BS Biotechnology program.
